the jack dulson memorial fund was set up to ensure that children and young people can benefit from the things that jack enjoyed. it has already provided hockey sticks, goalkeeping kits, team shirts, a had a very high temperature and knee joint pain on 7 march when he was sent home from school and ultimately went to a&e, also that day. jack and his family persevered with this diagnosis until they had to take him to his gp and to the hospital for blood tests during the week of 24 march . it seems that jack’s symptoms were misinterpreted as a virus, eventually identified as a bacterial infection staphylococcus aureus (see links below). the final cause of death was stated as pericarditis. prior to this very short illness jack had lived his all too short, happy, healthy life to the full (see jack’s story). what we try our best to achieve (the charitable objects of the fund): to preserve and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of staphylococcus aureus and pericarditis in the young in the uk by the provision of support and practical advice and information. to provide or assist in the provision of recreational and leisure time activities for children and young people up
